PERFECT PRESSURE is made of our patent-pending ULTRAFOAM high density polyurethane foam. This is not memory foam. Our unique construction architecture insures minimal pressure points that can cause tossing and turning.
As with most new products, there might be a slight scent when you first unbox the mattress. Any scent should dissipate in a few hours in a well-ventilated room
The PERFECT PRESSURE mattress is not made of memory foam which is the mattress foam that is usually associated with 'sleeping hot'. It should not sleep hot because you sleep 'on' the PERFECT PRESSURE mattress, not 'in' the mattress as is the case with memory foam.
Many users of memory foam mattresses complain of 'valleys' or 'body impressions' formed by their bodies. The Perfect Pressure mattress will not form valleys as it is not made of memory foam.
The Perfect Pressure mattress is made in China in a factory known for its high quality workmanship, attention to detail and respect for employees' rights.
The federal government requires that all mattresses sold in the US must meet very stringent burn tests, as governed by 16 CFR 1633 and 1632. Our mattresses have passed all of the required tests.
While the Perfect Pressure mattress works with all sheets of any fabric, we recommend that your fitted sheet have as much stretch as possible. Non-stretch fabrics create a 'trampoline effect' between you and the mattress so you will not receive as much pressure relief as the mattress is capable of providing. The more stretch you have, the more you will be able to enjoy the full benefits of your Perfect Pressure mattress and ensure maximum pressure relief. This is also true for mattress protectors.
The Perfect Pressure mattress has softer regions or zones at the hip and shoulder and firmer zones throughout the rest of the mattress. Our patent-pending ULTRAFOAM construction dramatically lowers pressure points at the hip and shoulder as your weight is re-distributed to the torso and thighs. In addition to improved spinal alignment thereby reducing hip, shoulder and back pain. It also provides improved lumbar support when lying on your back which can be a common source of mattress-induced low back pain.
We sell directly to the consumer eliminating distributor and retailer margins and overhead, and we do not use memory foam or latex.
All other toppers are basically a slab of foam with a continuous thickness which have no ability to accommodate the body’s contours without creating excessive pressures on the hip and shoulder. They are also ‘one-firmness-fits-all’, so you and your sleep partner have no ability to customize and personalize the firmness of your choice. The Perfect Pressure Topper is sculpted on the bottom to reduce the pressures on the hip and shoulder while supporting the torso and leg areas for improved alignment AND it allows you to adjust the firmness on each side of the bed.
You should start out with no comfort-inserts which provides the maximum pressure relief. If after 3 to 4 nights you find it uncomfortable, start by putting in one comfort-insert and repeat this process until you find a firmness you like. Depending on your height and build, the shoulder inserts should be tried in different slots to find your optimum shoulder and neck comfort, or left out altogether for the least shoulder pressure. Don’t also forget the hip comfort-insert.
Yes. All pressure tests conducted on the Perfect Pressure Topper Plus resulted in dramatically reduced pressures on the shoulder and hip, even on brand new mattresses.
Excessive shoulder and hip pressure is an aggravating factor in many types of shoulder and hip pain, including hip bursitis and shoulder soreness. Depending on the cause of the pain, the reduction in pressure should help in most cases.
All toppers are 3” thick. Nominal dimensions are:
Twin – 38” x 75”
Full – 54” x 75”
Queen – 60” x 80”
King (Eastern) – 76” x 80”
The topper is made of a proprietary blend of high density polyurethane we call, UltraFoamtm which exceeds all U.S. health standards. It has been specially blended for its properties of resilience, longevity and comfort.
All foams, including latex, have an initial odor. This odor usually dissipates as it outgasses over a period of several days or weeks. These odors (VOC’s) are required to be non-toxic by federal law.
Many foams, notably memory foam, sleep hotter than others. Our UltraFoamtm is temperature-neutral for most people.
You DO NOT need to return the topper in its original box. You can re-use the plastic bag it comes in or even use a large garbage bag to send it back to us. Be sure to fold numerous times before you tape in order to minimize postal costs.

If you decide not to put the mattress directly on the floor, we recommend a newer, modern rigid foundation. Many more recent box springs are designed with closely-spaced slats and provide more direct support to counter your body weight pushing down. Older box springs that were designed for spring mattresses, usually have one supporting beam down the middle of the bed, making the mattress sag on the sides. We also do not recommend split box springs, which can cause sagging.
The PERFECT PRESSURE mattress can work with all standard foundations; however, you want as much direct support under the mattress as possible. Unless you are putting the mattress directly on the floor, we recommend a newer, modern rigid foundation. Platform beds offer the most support. A slatted base with gaps between the slats, should be less than three inches apart. Platform beds offers the most support Most likely, you can use your existing bed setup.
No. You can turn the mattress 180 degrees while keeping the sleep-side up, but NEVER flip it. The Perfect Pressure mattress is bi-directional which means you can install it with either end at the head of the bed.
Mattress specialty retailers generally offer a wide range of mattress heights or 'profiles' from 6 inches to 14 inches. There is no difference to your comfort or sleep experience between a 10 inch and 14 inch mattress. The extra 'height' just adds cost and is intended to give you the impression that the higher profile offers you a better night's sleep.
The PERFECT PRESSURE results, when compared to the expensive leading brands, confirm that you do not have to pay more to get a better night's sleep. Higher mattress profiles, expensive fabric covers and embroidery, advertising and guaranteed satisfaction return policies all add significantly to the cost of a mattress but none of these additional costs adds up to a better nights sleep.
Many mattress companies are publicly listed on stock exchanges so you can see their profitability and determine if 50% to 65% discounts are real or simply marketing tools. If you mark up the retail price of a mattress by 100% or 200% or use an inflated 'manufacturer's suggested retail price' you can then offer steep discounts that are intended to fool mattress buyers.
Ever try to compare national brand pricing at different retailers? Most retailers that offer price matching guarantees have internal branding of their mattresses that are not sold at other retailers so they know the 'guarantee' can never be used.
Embroidered logos, fancy mattress covers and fabrics and higher mattress profiles are simply 'showroom tools' to try and impress a potential buyer to spend more money. Eventually everyone puts a sheet on his/her mattresses so all of the 'added beauty' is rarely seen again.
There has long been a belief that firmer mattresses are more supportive, and are thus better for those suffering back problems. Back pain is often caused by improper spinal alignment and the 5 firmness zones of the PERFECT PRESSURE mattress ensure proper spinal alignment With PERFECT PRESSURE the required firmness and support is dedicated to each of your body areas, which is something no other mattress accomplishes.
Although latex mattresses are often classified as more eco-friendly and healthier alternatives to traditional beds, all latex is not equal. Synthetic latex, or styrene butadiene rubber, is made from petroleum based ingredients and other chemicals that do not offer the same benefits associated with natural latex. The majority of latex on the market is a blend of synthetic and natural latex, and latex mattresses can still have chemical flame retardants and other unnatural materials. Companies can also classify latex as 'natural' even when it contains as little as 30% natural materials. If the natural or environmental benefits are important to you, make sure the mattress is using 100% natural latex and that other materials are also natural.
Gel-infused foams have been making waves the past few years, bolstered by manufacturer claims that foams with gel sleep cooler than foams without gel. However, there is little to no publicly-available proof that gel foams actually contribute to cooler sleep than other modern memory foams. Consumer Reports' testers also found little discernable difference in breathability between gel and non-gel beds.
